My first 5K!

Okay, well it wasn't an offical 5K, but it was a personal 5K.  I'm not really a runner.  I don't generally enjoy it.  I run because it burns calories.  So, I run on the weekends to burn off those extra cookies or whatever I should not have eaten. 

Anyway, back to my point.  I always get stuck at the 2.5 miles mark.  It was my route.  I had to change it if I was going to get to 3.11.  I did thanks to a friends suggestion.  It felt good as I got closer and I knew I wasn't going to stop. 
I'm thinking this is what runners who run half and whole marathons feel like.  I was on a high, almost skipping home.

So now I know I can run a 5K.  I think I will do one this fall.  Maybe with some friends.
